Sue Lamb is the Firm Administrator at Turner & Mede, P.C.,, in Anchorage, Alaska, a five-attorney firm focusing on commercial, corporate, labor and employment law. She joined the firm in 1979, serving as legal secretary and paralegal before becoming the firm’s first administrator almost 20 years ago. Sue has been an active member of ALA since 1987. She joined the Cyber Chapter in 1998 and has served as the Chapter’s Secretary (2005-06), Vice President (2006-07), and co-moderator of the Cyber discussion forum. Sue is also active in her land-based chapter. In her current stint on the Alaska ALA board of directors, she has served as President-Elect (2005-06) and President (2006-07) and will conclude her tour as Past President in 2008. She previously served three years in the chapter’s Presidential suite (1993-96) and two terms as Treasurer (1988-90). She is a member of the Alaska chapter’s survey and vendor partnership committees. Sue is also active in ALA in the international arena, serving as moderator of the Human Resources PDN on www.alanet.org, on the 2006 Region 5 RNC, and as a frequent volunteer for special Association projects. October, 2006 marked the 40th anniversary of Sue’s arrival in Anchorage. An Air Force brat, she attended three Anchorage area high schools and the University of Alaska Anchorage. Most of her immediate family continues to call Anchorage home. Sue is the proud mother of two full-time students at UAA: Jeff, a junior majoring in Economics and minoring in Environmental Science; and Stephanie, a senior in the University’s renowned Nursing baccalaureate program. In her rare spare time, Sue enjoys reading, needlecrafts, camping/hiking/fishing/boating during endless summer days, and sampling the fine work of Alaska’s world-class microbreweries. |
